Free Resources for Digital Photographers

asset management can be an overwhelming issue for digital photographers especially newbies. you could dump everything in one big folder on a hard drive if you don’t mind wasting hours looking for specific photos or losing everything if the drive fails.

and what about image editing and versioning? color management, assigning metadata and file formats? the more you work with digital imagery, the more workflow questions you have.

a new website, dpBestflow.org (for “digital photography best practices workflow”), is a great resource. it’s funded by the Library of Congress and promoted by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). the web site features valuable advice and includes a quick reference guide and a thorough best practices section with lots of videos.

I hope this info will be helpful in managing your photography. As far as the theme-it is something that I designed.
